Progress and Challenges for All?Solid?State Sodium Batteries
نویسندگان
چکیده
All-solid-state sodium batteries (ASSBs) are regarded as the next generation of sustainable energy storage systems due to advantages abundant resources, and their exceptional high density. Nevertheless, there still grand challenges realize practical applications, such limited types solid-state electrolytes (SEs), low ionic conductivity SEs, charge-transfer impedance, interfacial issues, Na dendrite growth. Herein, recent progress various SEs for ASSBs summarized, including solid polymer electrolytes, inorganic (including oxides, sulfides, boron hydrides), combinations. Furthermore, reports on cathodes materials corresponding cathode/SE issues comprehensively reviewed. Current trends future perspectives metal anodes discussed in detail with an emphasis anode interface protection innovative good compatibility. Finally, opportunities development outlined.

Since the introduction to market by Sony in the early 1990s,[1] lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have become dominate power sources for consumer electronics and have been recognized as a critical enabling technology to make electric vehicles (EVs)/ hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) a success.[2] They are also being used to store carbon-free and renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind, and ocean...

DOI: 10.1002/aenm.201500174 The continuous pulverization of alloy anodes during repeated sodiation/desodiation cycles is the major reason for the faster capacity decay. However, if these elements can form a compound (such as Sn 4 P 3 ) after each Na extraction, the pulverization of these elements can be partially repaired and the accumulation of pulverization can be terminated. Therefore, we ca...

متن کاملRecent Progress in Design of Biomass-Derived Hard Carbons for Sodium Ion Batteries
Sodium ion batteries (SIBs) have attracted lots of attention over last few years due to the abundance and wide availability of sodium resources, making SIBs the most cost-effective alternative to the currently used lithium ion batteries (LIBs). Many efforts are underway to find effective anodes for SIBs since the commercial anode for LIBs, graphite, has shown very limited capacity for SIBs. Amo...
